Burial Site Prices Effective Jan 1, 2016
We strive to maintain the beauty and peacefulness of the Canaan Cemetery through various activities including, but not limited to: grass cutting, fence upkeep, asphalt maintenance, trash removal, etc. Our efforts are a labor of love, but we need your help in keeping the cemetery looking its best.
Please place and secure flowers and memorial items on the headstone, pedestal, or as near to the headstone as possible. Our groundskeeper moves and replaces smaller, individual items by hand to cut the grass. This added work requires extra time to the task which increases the costs for maintenance. Apart from the headstone, please do not add immovable objects to cemetery plots.
Also, please be mindful of the other memorials surrounding your loved ones burial site. Patrons wishing to plant a scrub or tree are admonished to keep such items trimmed to a respectful size that does not encroach, cast a shadow, or otherwise impede another burial sites space. The association reserves the right to trim or remove such items at their discretion should the need arise.
Cost Per Burial Site*: $500
*Standard site is 5' x 10' and is designated for one casket burial or two urn burials
